Today is the 25th of December. A Monday. Here is something wild to think of - did you know that once every month there is a 25th day of the month! (that's 12 times a year!!) And after thinking about it I think that August 25 is the only one that needs to be celebrated: Matthew & Analiese's birthdays.
Now don't get me wrong, I like to have a party at the end of December, the best day that several of us would agree on is the 27th. Why that day? you may ask, I will tell you!
The story starts in a town in Upstate New York. The year was 1943 and Raymond & Nina Clegg were expecting
their second child, my maternal Grandmother! So we can now agree that it is a good date to celebrate. =)
(As a latter note - we ate ham, rib roast, sweet potato medley, & garlic mashed potatoes, ending with sweet potato/pumpkin pie in celebration!)
“Trust is not a passive state of mind. It is a vigorous act of the soul by which we choose to lay hold on the promises of God and cling to them despite the adversity that at times seeks to overwhelms us.” - - -Jerry Bridges
