Dad planted peas in the garden this year, and as I shelled,I was on the look out for a pod with "we three" in it, but never saw any. They always had 4 to 8 peas.
But then last night, as I was shelling, I opened one that really and truly was the children in our family- one teeny tiny immature pea on either end of three big healthy peas!
I wish that I had got a picture of it....five, in the exact right order too. Oh well.
“Trust is not a passive state of mind. It is a vigorous act of the soul by which we choose to lay hold on the promises of God and cling to them despite the adversity that at times seeks to overwhelms us.” - - -Jerry Bridges

Eliza Doolittle Day!!!
How kind of you to let me come!
We celebrated Eliza Doolittle Day for the very first time today!
11 women folks (ladies, young ladies, and girls) wearing all kinds of lovely hats, got together at our house at 7pm!
We all drank out of tea cups and saucers, and we had iced tea, and cold "apple punch" served in tea pots! And iced water- it was just too warm to have hot tea!
We ate no-bake "it's a snap cheesecake"(follow this link for the recipe) Strawberry Cheesecake*, Chocolates(!), & raw Almonds! =) And yes, there were a lot of dishes to do! (....65 or 70!)
*I cut the water down to 3/4 cup, and shorted the sugar a bit, and at the end I stirred some thawed frozen sliced Strawberries. I don't know where my brain went, but I accidentally used 3 packages of cream cheese! (1 envelope of gelatin is 1&1/2 teaspoons)

I think that summer is here now....
I just picked about a half a quart bag full of Dewberries from Dewberry hill this afternoon....not too hard and no scratches!
Our hill is very happily situated.
The only bad thing is that I did see a good sized snake in the pond. Where are the boys/men&guns when you need them?

I can't believe it...it's really mine!
Do you remember that really cute Cath Kidston Notecard Book that I posted back in June 09? Well, Mom and I where at Half Price Books in Rockwall on Saturday, and they had one just for me! Mom got it for me as a treat! (it was a really nice price too!)
Thank you Mom, for getting it for me- and Dad too for giving Mom the money in the first place! =)

Why is it that....
.....When I was young, I was thoughtfully reckless when it came to sewing and crafting- why is it that the older I get, the more fearful I am, and I don't want to make mistakes, or be wasteful with my supplies?
