Homeopathy & Transplanting

All the Zinnias in these 2 photos were transplanted in the same way (pulled up by the roots), and on the same day.  😎

We thought they needed  Aconite 30x, so I gave that remedy to all the plants that EXCEPT for the ones in the above photo. I could not tell which they were, so I skipped them because I did not want to dose the wrong plants.  The little guys who got their remedy are quite happy, never batted an eye, never looked "tired"!

The next day they looked SO bad, I could CLEARLY see them, and went ahead and gave them the Aconite 30x, and the good news is they have not died yet- they did not recover as of yet (days later), but I'm watching them and wondering if they will make it. πŸ™‚

(Another note: When we transplanted the tomatoes from the store, we thought that they were calling for Silica 1M, so that's what we gave them, and they are quite happy, never batted an eye, never looked "tired"!πŸ™‚)

Happy Garden News....

....I'm posting these photos primarily for my Canadian Aunt & Uncle, but I hope you all enjoy them~  and maybe get out and sprinkle some greens in a pot, you won't regret it! (not pictured in this post: Green beans & Cucumbers, because they aren't up yet, and tomatoes & potatoes...I just did not take their picture...)

(unless you over plant like I did....
this pot has poppies, arugula, 4'oclocks a marigold and something that is a mystery to me...)

Cucumbers & Pickles

Planting seeds is not something that has worked well for me in the past.  God smiled on my attempts this year- I've been picking a good number of green beans & cucumbers, and the Zinnias that came from the seed saved from last year are better than the plants that we bought this year!

Mom's first jar of 2019 Pickles! "Lunchbox Spears" from 'The Joy of Pickling'

20' of cucumbers...probably planted too close together =) .  I have picked 14 so far!
