What Marriage Does NOT Mean to Me (part 2)

What marriage does NOT mean to me.  Right now.  And as of all my life long:

~I don't want a King & Maid or Master & Slave relationship.   I know that some folks can make it work, or at least try really hard for a long time, but that is NOT for me.

~Blood is NOT thicker than water.   The person you live with should be where your loyalties lie.   You should NOT throw your spouse under the the bus for the sake of your parents, siblings or children.
(Dear random guy: if you think that "blood is thicker than water", then just keep on walking!)

~I don't think that marriage should mean lifelong trauma & drama: fun for one, but not for all.

~Marriage should not be a pair of unequally yoked people.   (Marriage should be harmonious.)

 ~Respect IS NOT a one-way street.
