Visiting the S. Carolina Family

I'm sorry to say that I'm a year late in posting about this visit! 😕
Mom and I got to visit some friends in the South~ like the S. Carolina Family!   They and their boys were a lot of fun, and we had fun playing, reading, eating and talking~ the visit was too short!  Thank you again for having us!

The "new" thing was making box towers~ lots of fun!

Sunny morning coffee~

Jack took Luke's photo, and then Luke took Jack's...

Jack gave Sophie a sip, and then Luke gave the giraffe a drink too...Coffee is very serious business.

Jack, weed-eating
Heads up Luke! There is a "weed-eater" behind you!
I'm sad to say it, but we had to leave this happy little family...it was time to head on to Savannah, GA

Sophie's trip to San Antonio January 2013 part 2

Remember the Alamo! And Sophie!

We were SO cold!!!  We slept late and missed the bus...next bus comes in one hour!  Burrrr!!!

Sit still, no playing on the bus!

Witte Memorial Museum

Where is Sophie???

Lunch!
(We ate out once a day,
and ate in the condo once/twice a day.)

Look who was outside the restaurant!?!?!

Bob the Hedgehog was one of the souvenirs I got for Dad.

We went on a little free tour of The Culinary Institute of America.

At the kitchen shop.

Cute sign on our way to the Goodwill Store.

Pretty hair, pretty lady!

I'm not good at Yahtzee, but I won this game!

One of my favorite pictures taken this trip.

If you go to San Antonino, you must stop by this place for brunch.
(Or just to get a few bakery items.)
If you go- wait a little longer so you can sit in the main room.

I told Sophie that she'd like this restaurant- she did!

Mother ~ Daughter

~3 G~

We saw our first 3-D IMAX.

Waiting for the bus to take us home~

Vote RON PAUL!

Sophie had lots of fun, but was happy to come home!

Sophie's trip to San Antonio January 2013 part 1

We left very early in the morning- by bus!

It was funny to drive next to a hay truck~

We saw the Texas Capitol building, and the skyline of Austin.

Our destination has been reached!

First stop: late lunch/early dinner at Schilo's.
I did not think that the food was as good as all the hype made it sound.
Would I go again? No, probably not.

These signs were in all the local buses/trolleys...
...for some reason, they made me laugh.

Sophie wanted her picture with a "real" soldier. Mr. Soldier was happy to oblige her.

~3 Generations~

Sophie ghost hunting.  (In memory of Mrs. Lauer)

Trolley time!

Windblown, cold & beautiful!

It was SO, SO cold!  (At least it was mostly dry!)
