A few childhood toys

 I LOVED "Snap-Lock Beads!!!

 I still have my radio~ and I still LOVE it!!

 This ride on horse was a favorite~ happy sigh!

Was a better shopping cart ever made???? I don't think so! Mattel: Bring them back!!!
My grandparents gave me one, and then Mom bought an extra- so we had 2.  Two was not enough.  I wonder how many miles we put on them?  While they mostly lived in the house, we would take them on walks, and they were EXTREMELY handy when it was time to clean our bedrooms!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies...bring all kinds of good memories.😻

 I knew that one had to chop her own chocolate back in the day,
but who knew that you could get it scored, so it would be easier to cut????

Whatever Wednesday: Vintage car advertising

...because we all want a new car in the winter time, right???  (Just kidding!)

1985 (Was a good year, IMHO.):

1970's fun:
Ha, ha, ha!

VW Beetle supposedly from the 1960's:

 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Convertible:

1950's:

1940's- who is cuter? The girl or the car??  It's close, but I think the car (or 1950's):

19?0's:

What kinds of cute old cars were/are in your life?

Food on Friday: Homemade Caramel Corn

Mmm!

As far as I'm concerned, we have had this recipe booklet forever!

 This is the recipe that we use the most...this time we used a little less popcorn- I'm glad that we did!

Happy Eating!

(I may share this post on "Have a Daily Cup of Mrs. Olson"

Thursday~ blast from the past

I always miss "Throw-back Thursdays"....but not this time~  I hope that you enjoy these!

That bear is "Petie", and was Benjamin McKee's...I'm sure that he did not mind sharing with me. (he had a "Sweetie" too, named for the the children's book called "Sweetie & Petie")  I'm pretty sure that I remember this play time.

Did you know that I don't mind getting wet & dirty? Provided I'm dressed for the occasion!

 Mom needed lots of help with the baby!

 One of the best family photos ever taken!

Wax Lips

Question: Do you have a Wax Lips Memory?

My very early (& only) memory of Wax Lips involves my Aunt Stefie....I don't remember if she brought them with her when she came to visit, or if we already had them, but I remember some red ones and a yellow pair, too and that there were not enough to go around, so we had to take turns, and she & Mom had great fun kissing us...I remember my Aunt tipping my brothers backwards! (I also remember NOT liking the taste of the wax lips!!!)

...I could swear that there were photos taken, but I can't find them! =(

Lucky Charms~

I was going to have an embedded video, but for some reason it would not embed. So you will have to watch it HERE instead.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I only remember eating Lucky Charms one time...at my best friend, Kendra's house when we were 5 or 6 years old. She and I had slumber parties~ mostly at her house! =)
I remember early mornings at the Rush's house- quietly eating Really Sugary Cereal, quietly feeding her animals, quietly watching cartoons like Ninja Turtles!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  Did you know that Lucky Charms was created in 1962 by John Holahan?
 You can read more here.
(I know that this ad is from before our time (1981!), but it's about right...except that we were 2 blondes in PJ's!)
