Grandaddy in Nevada

Do you ever see things that you would not normally like, but they make you remember someone...  ...So on some level you like something really odd, like the postcard below:

This postcard reminds me of my Mom's Dad....one of the things that he used to say was "The whole famdamily".   I guess that he thought that it sounded nicer that way?  I don't know about that, but as a child (and now) it is fun to say (in my head or to myself), and it tickles your mouth somehow, when you say it. =)

Food on Friday: Homemade Caramel Corn

Mmm!

As far as I'm concerned, we have had this recipe booklet forever!

This is the recipe that we use the most...this time we used a little less popcorn- I'm glad that we did!

Happy Eating!

Parker Cousins

 When you visit your cousins....
...start the morning with a tickle fight....
 ....and hug your cousins....

....and play tops with the baby (she LOVED the tops that Dad made, and was SO cute toddling around with one in each hand!)!

Go for a hike....
...photograph the flowers....
 ...and baby Liorah!

Help with dinner to earn your keep (aren't the peppers pretty?)!
And don't forget to take some nice organized photos too!  (I'm sad to say that after getting home and looking at the photos we took, we realized that we did not get a single photo of ALL the girls! It's SO sad~ sorry Jodi!)
Mom and Russ....
....all the cousins!

Kayson, Me & Joshua....playing with Kinetic Sand (here) and "pencil pod racing"!  (we also played ping-pong)

 Sophie's new friends =)
(How do you like that cute dress I made? It was so easy, I glad that it fits so well!)

You should have seen the boy I caught....he was THIS BIG!

 Bloopers:
(isn't it crazy how Joshua looks like a rounder faced version of his cousin, my Uncle Matt)

Thanks for letting us interrupt your lives for a while....I hope that we are friends forever!

Thursday~ blast from the past

I always miss "Throw-back Thursdays"....but not this time~  I hope that you enjoy these!

That bear is "Petie", and was Benjamin McKee's...I'm sure that he did not mind sharing with me. (he had a "Sweetie" too, named for the the children's book called "Sweetie & Petie")  I'm pretty sure that I remember this play time.

Did you know that I don't mind getting wet & dirty? Provided I'm dressed for the occasion!

Mom needed lots of help with the baby!

One of the best family photos ever taken!

My Day & Parties

When I work elections, I like to look at the lists of voters for folks that where born on the 5th of March, and those born in 1985....there are not a lot of us, or at least I don't feel like it.

But then that makes me special, right? =)

Last night (after working the elections all day), I decided to be young again, and camped out on the living room floor in a nest of feather comforters and watched "Standing Room Only"....needless to say, I was sore & felt a little old when I woke up this morning!

What will this year hold?!  I wonder....  =)

So, Happy 29th Birthday to me!  =)
