"In 1939, Kellogg's employee Mildred Day concocted and published a recipe for a Camp Fire Girls bake sale consisting of Rice Krispies, melted marshmallows, and margarine. It has remained a very popular snack dubbed Rice Krispies Treats" (Source)
What do you make for a Cooky Pot Luck tonight?
(I actually made these for Dad's birthday, but just got around to posting)

What if you happen to have marshmallows & Graham crackers in the house? =)
You make S'mores Crisp Rice Treats- Yum!
1 cup Chocolate Chips
one 10 oz. bag mini Marshmallows (or CUT UP large ones)
4 T. Butter (I had a hard time getting my MM to melt, so I added another 4 T. and a splash of water...you may not have to do that!)
1 tsp. vanilla3 & 1/2 cups rice krispy cereal
2 packages of Graham Crackers, broken into small pieces- (I think it was 2)
In a large saucepan, melt butter.
Stir in half to 2/3 of the chocolate chips, vanilla, mini marshmallows
Mix well until marshmallows have melted.
Fold in cereal & half the Grahams until it's all covered with marshmallow mixture.
Add in the last of the Graham cracker pieces and the other half of chocolate chips.
Spread into a greased 9x13 pan for thinner bars*, pat down with WET hands.
*or an 8x8 pan for thick bars
Happy Eating!
