Bird nest~

All my life I'd read in books or heard folks say (mostly in movies) that birds will make nests with the hair you scatter in the wind...and all my life I wondered where these birds were, because I'd never ever seen one.

Until this year.

My cat Fergie died this spring, and the Phoebe's re-built their nest (on our front light) with his hair.

And then they had 4 chicks!

Who took flight VERY shortly after the photo was taken. 

Mom and I stepped out the door, and they panicked and 3 took to the air---and that scared their folks, and they were ALL yelling and flapping....baby number 4 flew off a little while later.

They were SO cute!!!
